Level 3’s competed at Fun In The Sun meet on Saturday, January 12th.  The Level 3 Team received 1st Place award.  First place event awards going to:  Reegan, Karly , Kelly, Santanta and Logan.  First place all-arounds went to Karly in the 10-12 age division, Reegan in the 6 year old division and Logan in the 5 year old division.  Congratulations girls!!!  Keep up the hard work.

Level 4 through 8 participated in the Annual Christmas Parade held in downtown Beckley.  They received first place walking group.

The Good Luck Meet, hosted by Beckley Gymnastics, was a huge success.  It is always a pleasure to have Artistic, Glendale, Gym Dandys and Maverick at our home gym.  This year we also had the honor of  hosting VA Techniques as well. 

All the girls done a wonderful job.  They’ve worked hard all year.   This was their last meet before the states - just weeks away.  All of Beckley Gymnastics’ Team that competed at the Good Luck Meet has officially qualified to compete at states—go girls.  We had many that were added to our 9.0 club and our 34.0 club.  Congratulations!!!!  Karlee Hendrick gave Beckley Gymnastics a first by getting 9+ in all 4 events at the same meet.  Way to go Karlee!!

 

 

Date: March 28th—30th, 2008

The Beckley Gymnastics Center competitive teams participated at the WV State Gymnastics Championships in Morgantown on March 28-30.

 

The Level 3 Team won the 2nd place team banner from a total of 8 gyms throughout the state competing at level 3. 

 

Taking the 1st place honors on individual events were:  Reegan Lively on Balance Beam and Karlee Hendrick on Vaulting.

 

Placing 2nd on individual events were:  Reegan on Vault and All-Around, Maddie Toney on Vault, Karlee Hendrick on Bars, Beam and All Around, Shannon Coleman on Vault, Bars, Beam and All-Around, Jade Chambers-Blair on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and AA. 

 

Placing 3rd on the podium were:  Logan Ragland on Beam, Reegan on Bars and Floor, Santana Dameron on Beam and Bars, Kelli Brammer on Floor, Jennifer Fink on Vault, Shannon on Flo0r and Katelyn Muovich on Vault.

 

The team members had to receive a qualifying score during a regular season meet to earn the honor to attend the state competition.

 

Other team members were:  Lauryn Poole (8th AA), Ashlynn Coffman (5th Beam, 8th AA), Ashley Toney (5th Vault, 8th AA), Nakita Edmonds (8th AA), Cheyanne Harris (4th Vault, 4th Bars, 5th Floor, 4th AA), Megan Boone (12th AA), Morgan Smith (4th Vault, 4th Bars, 4th Beam, 4th Floor, 4th AA), Haley Shires (7th AA), Lindsay Toney (9th AA), Kerrigan Johnson (11th AA), Amanda Toney (5th Bars, 5th AA). 

 

Level 3 Team is coached by Heather Lively and Bonnie Coffman.  Level 4 through 8 teams are coached by Jessica Hightower.  Assistant coaches are:  Kim Ragland, Kim Hendrick, Judy Poole and Sharon Dickens.  The gym is owned and operated by Beverly Kincaid-Sanna who will be celebrating her 25th year in business this upcoming May.  Secretary Pam Peraldo has been managing the office for 23 years.  Team members Reegan, Karlee, Ashlynn, Lauryn and Logan are all 2nd generation gymnasts and are referred to as the “grand-gymnasts”.

 

The team and coaches are to be congratulated on a great competitive season and the parents are to be thanked for their hard work and support especially Ruth Toney and Tracy Johnson who organize the team activities and fund raisers.
